What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is an event that fosters inspiration and collaboration with the goal of expanding software and hardware development. A typical hackathon event brings developers (programmers, designers, entrepreneurs, engineers) together to collaborate over a fixed period of time to develop technology-based solutions for proposed problems or challenges.

Essentially we put the people with the ideas/problems with the people with the skills to fix them! And the result is market ready technologies they can take from the weekend and pursue!

What is Emerging Agriculture?

Emerging Agriculture is the only Agricultural based Hackathon in Canada!

Who are we looking for?

  • Farmers
  • Producers
  • Students
  • Business Professionals
  • Developers
  • Programmers
  • Engineers
  • Agrologists

How to be involved?

You have two options

  1. Participate
  2. Spectate

You do not have to have experience with technology to participate! Come with an idea or come with a skill and build with a group of people and take that technology to the next level…to the MARKET!

If you cant book off the weekend to participate make sure you buy a spectator ticket to come and see what it’s all about on Sunday evening and Monday presentations!
